We offer a 1-year 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training, split between London and Spain.  The training is led by renowned yoga teachers Mark Ansari and Raquel Salvador, with additional teaching support from Sarah Highfield, and special guest teachers including James French and Hajnalka Wray.

About Inspira Yoga

Inspira Yoga was founded by Mark Ansari and Raquel Salvador. Following many years of yoga practice, teaching and training, Mark and Raquel set up Inspira Yoga with an aim to give students the tools they need to shine and discover their full potential.

Inspira Yoga is a Registered Yoga Alliance School for 200 and 500 hour Teacher Training Courses.  We are dedicated to offering Yoga Teacher Training Courses and retreats around the world, embracing the study and practice of a variety of yoga techniques.

Inspira Yoga is committed to share the virtues and principles of yoga with a strong emphasis on safety, integrity and personal attention. With this knowledge, new graduates can teach not only from the head, as a result of their studies, but also from the heart, as a result of a deeply felt practice.

The Inspira Yoga 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training takes place over 1-year.  The course comprises of 6 weekends in London and a final week in Spain.

The London weekends take place at The Light Centre in Moorgate.  The closest tube stations are Moorgate, Liverpool Street and Bank.


The final week of the course takes place in Southern Spain at the beautiful Cortijo Caseria Del Mercado, a small organic farm high in the Alpujarras mountains of Andalucia.  Both shared and single accommodation is offered.

Course Syllabus & Content

During the program, trainees will learn, practice, and teach the following:

  • Mixed levels of Ashtanga yoga, Vinyasa flow, Restorative, Acro yoga and self-practice
  • Pranayama (breathing techniques) / Meditation / Chanting (Bhakti yoga)
  • Yoga anatomy / physiology including subtle body e.g. chakras
  • Yoga history and philosophy e.g. yoga sutras, eight limbs of Ashtanga yoga
  • Yogic and conscious living in theory and practice / Yogic diet
  • Teaching methodology and adjustments / Sanskrit names of asanas
  • Kriya (Cleansing)
  • How to develop intention and meaning to the practice
  • Business and ethics of yoga / Qualities of a yoga instructor

The Inspira Yoga 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training qualification is accredited by the Yoga Alliance (USA), which is the only globally recognised organisation of its kind and allows you to not only enter the yoga teaching profession at a RYT 200 level but be eligible for public liability insurance.

Mark Ansari (Lead Teacher)Mark6c081b838e86cadBorn in London, Mark is a registered E-RYT 500 Yoga Alliance Teacher, he splits his time between UK, Spain, Thailand, India & Bali. He has been teaching yoga since 1995 and is recognised as one of the first Ashtanga yoga teachers to settle and teach regular classes in the UK, having studied directly with Ashtanga yoga founder Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India.  From 1996-2008, Mark spent 12 years as senior teacher at the prestigious Life Centre in west London. He now teaches on retreats, workshops and teacher training courses in worldwide destinations including UK, Spain, Thailand and India.

Raquel Salvador (Lead Teacher)RaquelRYT-200-Yoga-Alliance

Raquel was born in Spain and moved to London in 1999 where she became interested in yoga and began practicing.  Seeking to deepen her knowledge of yoga she undertook a 1-year teacher training course in 2007 in London, followed by further training in Mysore, India.  She now teaches on retreats, workshops and teacher training courses in worldwide destinations including UK, Spain, Thailand and India.

Sarah Highfield (Assisting Teacher)SarahRYT-200-Yoga-AllianceBorn in Hong Kong and currently living in London, Sarah has been practising Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow and Hatha yoga for over 10 years and teaching since 2015.  She teaches privately within London and in studios (Bodyism, Edge and Form Studios).  Additionally, she works with the exclusive Helios Retreats, at special events and other brand collaborations.

James French (Guest Teacher)

JamesYoga_Alliance_logos_RYT500-300x300James is a London-based international Tantric Yoga teacher, specialising in Hatha, Vinyasa Flow and Chakra Yoga.  James has a particular interest in the way that emotions and traumas are stored in the body and how we can release them to promote deeper well being and healing. He also incorporates the more subtle, energetic aspects of Tantra and Hatha Yoga as a route to healing and inner peace.

Hajnalka Wray (Guest Teacher)

headshot thula6c081b838e86cadSouth African born Hajnalka began her journey into the esoteric arts in 2007.  Qualified to teach both Yoga and Tantra, she has accumulated over 1000 training hours since her yoga journey begun.  Hajnalka founded Thula Yoga in London in 2013 with the ambition of bringing hard-to-find esoteric teachings to Western families who would otherwise find it impossible to access a high caliber of authentic tantra yoga teachings. She travels between London and Johannesburg to offer these life enhancing teachings.  Her teaching style is warm, vibrant, attentive and captivating.

Course Payment

Yoga Alliance RYS 200 logo (2015 version)

The total cost of the course is £2,500 which includes:

  • 6 weekends of study in London, followed by 7 days study in Spain
  • Training, Yoga Alliance Certificate & study materials
  • Transfers in Spain from Orgiva to the farmhouse where the final 8 days of the course will take place
  • All meals in Spain
  • Shared accommodation in Spain
